On the evening of October 31st, 2018, the special events for Halloween in Shaw College—Haunted House and Costume Party came again.

Halloween, which is also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows’ Eve, or All Saints’ Eve, is celebrated on November 1st every year. It is a traditional festival in the West. The night before Halloween is the liveliest moment of this festival.

This year, Shaw College specially invited the Wesign Association on campus to create a mysterious and exciting adventure— ‘Scary Haunted House Adventure with Wesign’ to celebrate the happy Halloween.

On the evening of October 31st, 2018, more than 400 explorers came to join in the Halloween events. The que was so long that it was from the foothills of Tower F, where the Habitat “Old Villa” lay, to the small intersection leading to the Letian Building. The costume party was also overcrowded, and the snacks and plasma drinks provided by Cooking Pioneer Association were immediately swept away.

At nightfall, just before the start of Haunted House, there was a rare and splendid sunset over the school, adding a hint of spooky feeling to the coming horror night.

After the end of the exploration in the Haunted House, there happened to be a drone competition nearby, decorating this carnival night’s sky and leaving a sweet memory for everyone.

Students felt exciting about this event, praising the superb performances of the Phantom Club’s members. Undoubtedly, there were many behind-the-scenes workers as well: the whole pre-planner crews, on-site ticket inspectors and the volunteers who maintained order. Such a successful event was inseparable from the efforts of all staff.

The Phantom Club was offering fantastic make-up service during the costume party.

Feedback:

We’ve worked for the whole afternoon plus one night. I love everybody! Besides, so glad to have a dinner party outdoors.

Thank you for attending the Haunted House held by Shaw College and Wesign.

Happy Halloween!

The haunted house of this year was so scary and my little prince was scared to cry.

Busy day with busy placing spiders. It’s the first time that I have been a volunteer and I feel so delighted. Thank you for every support and Happy Halloween.

No ghost was talking in the haunted house except the screaming from the confident Yang.
