City Tour for 2018 Fall Semester Incoming Students
On September 8th, 30 students from exchange and international study programmes participated in a city tour, a day for them to experience traditional and modern Shenzhen.
In the morning, they visited two exhibitions in Shenzhen Museum, namely Shenzhen’s Reform and Opening-up History Exhibition and the Shenzhen Folk Culture Exhibition.
At the lunchtime, the students tasted Cantonese dim sum, one of the traditional Chinese cuisines. Everyone was impressed by the various types of small bite-sized portions of food served in small steamer baskets.
In the afternoon, they went to the OCT-LOFT Creative Culture Park, which was creatively reconstructed from old buildings. Strolling in the park and surrounded by a variety of creative products, students felt the power of Shenzhen innovation.
“City Tour” is one of the “Experience China Series” which is organized by OAL to help incoming exchange/visiting students to understand more about culture, history and development of China.
