The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) announced the formal establishment of the School of Life and Health Sciences on November 14, 2018. Four colleges with undergraduate to doctoral training systems. The college focuses on teaching, research and innovation in life and health sciences. Adhering to the love of all sectors of society and schools in 2019, we successfully completed our first year since our establishment at the end of 2018. This year, the LHSers worked together to overcome the difficulties, and with the spirit of hard work and unyielding will, they worked hard to build the college into a life and health college with distinctive academic characteristics and international fame. This year, we have had a lot of gains. The progress and development in scientific research, teaching, and foreign cooperation are all delightful. Looking back on 2019 and looking forward to 2020, I hope the future of LHS is even better!

On December 3, 2019, the college held a second college briefing session for students of the school this year, focusing on the college's professional and study plans and overseas exchange programs.

School-enterprise cooperation

On the first anniversary of the establishment of the college, with the joint efforts of the school's employment office and the college, it has approached more than 7 medical, biological background hospitals, enterprises and government departments to reach a consensus on co-construction of training bases. Senior students prepare and pave the way for internship training. At present, the "Practice Agreement for Teaching Practice Base" has been signed with the Second People's Hospital of Guangdong Province.

International Exchange and Cooperation Projects

With the joint efforts of the school's academic exchange office and the college, a number of joint training and exchange programs with prestigious overseas universities and masters have been opened and are being prepared. These include 5 prestigious universities in Europe and 6 prestigious universities in the United States, such as the University of Warwick, the Milan Institute of Technology, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Michigan, and the University of Minnesota. Study methods include 4 + 1, 3.5 + 1.5, 3 + 2, and 3 + 1 + 1.
Ye Dequan (Principal Principal Professor) used the roadmap to clearly show and introduce to students how to properly arrange on-campus study, plan overseas studies, and expand research horizons during the 4-year undergraduate study.
