On March 13, 2015, Professor Fung introduced to students of the University the college system in the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the unique interaction scheme between students and professors.

Unlike universities in the Mainland, CUHK does not only educate students through classroom instructions, but also provides informal education through the college system, where students can have dinners, stage dramas and organize other activities with their teachers. The close interaction between students and their professors throughout their college life proves instrumental in developing all-rounded talents in the long run. Professor Fung gave one good example. Two of his students majoring in biochemistry ended up in Independent Commission against Corruption. CUHK produces talents ready to serve society at any moment, and the college system which forms an integral part of its academic traditions definitely plays a key role.

The University intends to achieve at least the same academic excellence as CUHK, and the college system Professor Fung spoke about today is undoubtedly a window through which the community may gauge the prospect of the University.
