University of Oxford’s Visit to CUHK-Shenzhen

Dr Jason Lu, Liaison Officer of Oxford Prospects and Global Development Centre, visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen on 30 October, 2018.

 

A meeting was held between the guest and the Office of Academic Links (OAL). During the meeting, Dr Lu met with Ms. Melody Wang, Manager of Office of Academic Links, and other representatives from OAL. The discussion revolved around deepening the collaboration between the two universities.

 

An information session was successfully held in Zhixin Building. Dr Jason Lu gave a detailed introduction of the University of Oxford and its Visiting Student Programme (VSP), including application requirements and course information. Over 90 students attended the session and raised various questions afterwards.

 

 

 

 

 

The University of Oxford is one of the most prestigious universities in the world, founded in 1250 with some colleges’ histories stretching back to even further. It enjoys a well-deserved reputation for world-class teaching, research and facilities. The University of Oxford is the highest ranked university in 2018 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.

 

The Visiting Student Program (VSP) is organized and administered by Oxford Prospects and Global Development Centre (OPGDC). Every year, the program admits no more than 15 students nation-wide. 2018/2019 Academic Year, Mr. Songhao Li of SME (Junior student) and Ms. Yuyang He of SSE (Junior student) were successfully admitted to the Visiting Student Program (VSP) offered by the University of Oxford.
