At 9:12 of September 12, 2015, thousands of Shenzhen citizens, together with over 10 thousand of online runners, blew up an “orange storm” at the 13-kilometer bicycle alley of Shenzhen Bay Sports Park.

So what is The Orange Run? It’s a civil charity running activity organized by Shenzhen Charity Federation and promoted by hundreds of running groups. This is not only a running event, but also a charitable fund-collecting activity which widely spreads positive energy. If participants run one more mile, social corporations will donate extra 100 yuan for welfare undertaking. The Shimmer volunteer group as well as Running Club of CUHK (SZ) actively organized a square of (?) 50 representatives, including freshmen, sophomores and teachers of our university.

On the morning of September 12, our representatives arrived at the starting point . After that, CUHK (SZ) runners started to warm up for the run together with thousands of runners in orange.

Time finally came to 9:12 am, and a starting gun set off the Orange Run. A moving orange ribbon gradually surrounded the coast of Shenzhen Bay. A freshman held a purple flag in vigorous pace, leading other 49 CUHK (SZ) runners all the way. An orange sea had raised up all of smiles and love. May this civil running activity light up every lonely heart and every corner of the world.
