1000 CUHK-Shenzhen students will study abroad in 2018

During the summer vacation in 2018, CUHK-Shenzhen will provide 720 opportunities for students to study at elite universities in the world. Coupled with the upcoming 338 exchange places, the University will select over one thousand students to study abroad in 2018.

International Summer Program for Overseas Students 2018 has been open for enrollment. The recently opened overseas summer learning system of the University is expected to provide 720 opportunities for students to study at elite universities in the world. Together with the upcoming opening of 338 exchange places, in 2018 the University will select over a thousand students to study abroad.

 

Up till now, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen has established substantive cooperation with more than 60 world-class universities including Oxford University, University of Cambridge, University of California, Berkeley, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, National University of Singapore, Waseda University, etc. The form of cooperation is very diverse. For example, Oxford University receives excellent exchange undergraduate students from CUHK-Shenzhen annually for six months or one year of study. In addition, the University has also established “3+2” “3.5+1.5”, “4+1” and other different schemes of combined degree arrangement with Columbia University, the University of Minnesota, the University of Michigan, Bocconi University of Italy, University of Southampton, University of Exeter, and University of Sussex. Three SME students(class of 2018) have been selected to attend the International and Public Affairs Master's Programme of Columbia University. Nearly 60 junior and senior students will be selected for Master's programmes in Europe and the United States. The Tripartite Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme, an innovative cultivation system of CUHK-Shenzhen, has been further extended. In addition to the Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management Programme with the University of British Columbia and the Copenhagen Business School, CUHK-Shenzhen has signed an agreement with the University of Auckland and the University of South Carolina to co-cultivate talents majoring in Global Business Innovation. To meet the demands for high-quality talents for the future globalization, this program stimulates students to learn and grow under different cultural ambiance. Besides, the University has made substantial progress in the top-tier academic staff exchange. Every year, nearly 10 professors from the University of Minnesota will be introduced to carry out teaching and scientific research in Shenzhen.

 

Since its establishment in 2014, CUHK-Shenzhen has achieved remarkable outcomes in internationalization. The proportion of students who have overseas study experience has exceeded 60%, ranking the top among the domestic universities.
