CUHK-Shenzhen Welcomes Dean Tom Hays from the University of Minnesota

Prof. Tom Hays, Associate Dean of Research, College of Biological Sciences, and Professor of Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Development, visited CUHK-Shenzhen from 25 to 29 March 2018. The purpose of the visit was to review the latest developments between the two universities, following the signing of faculty collaboration agreement by Dean Changwen Chen (on behalf of SSE, CUHK-Shenzhen) and Dean Valery Forbes (on behalf of College of Biological Sciences, UMN). Prof. Hays was received by Prof. Yangsheng Xu, President, Prof. Tom Luo, Vice President for Academic, Prof. Shiping Zhu, Vice President for External and Student Affairs, Prof. Tony Li, Associate Vice President cum Director of Research Administration, Prof. Changwen Chen, Dean of School of Science and Engineering, Prof. Bao-Ting Zhu, Associate Dean of School of Science and Engineering, and Mr. Paul Ke, Director of Office of Academic Links.

During the visit, Prof. Hays has delivered a presentation regarding biocytology to CUHK-Shenzhen students, and visited Huawei as well as BGI accompanied by Dr. Hua’an Zhang, Deputy Director of Research Office.
