Visit of Rice University

Prof. Gang Bao, Associate Dean of Research and Innovation; Professor of Bioengineering, School of Engineering, from Rice University, visited CUHK-Shenzhen on 13 June 2019 and discussed with staffs from Office of Academic Links on collaboration opportunities in the combined BS-MS/PhD arrangement and short-term programs.

Founded in 1912, Rice University is a private institution located in Houston, Texas. It is now a research university with an undergraduate focus. Its emphasis on education is demonstrated by a small student body and 6:1 student-faculty ratio, and it has been nationally recognized as a leading university for undergraduate teaching. Rice ranked 16th in National Universities by 2019 US News, 18th in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs and 8th in Biomedical.
