2017 Shaw College Spring Festival Carnival

From 12 to 2 noon on Feb.17, students from Shaw, Diligentia and Muse College gathered at F301 of Shaw College for food from various places. Prof. Janny Leung, the master of Shaw College, made a prologue at present, to show her expect for students in the next semester.

No carnival can be splendidly held without our president—Prof. Yangsheng Xu’s calligraphy. Prof. Xu was busy to be present, so he wrote in advance four words— “弘毅致远” for students, which means ambitious and firm. These words told an edification about personality and ideal. It worth profound thinking of everyone.

Except for various food, there was also a game at present called “Gesticulate something”. A player can use various even funny gestures and words to show another player the word behind him/her. The team which guessed out most words will be reward with a gift. However, 200 words were far more than enough with surprisingly many participant. Even manager of Shenzhen Catic Property Management Cooperation, Mr. Wu also participated the game!

On the carnival, Zhongrui Long (2015 SSE, Shaw) won ovation and cheers for his pretty solo. In addition, Prof. Warden Wesley from D building of Shaw College introduced part of European exchange students in this semester. He also invited these students to introduce themselves, hoping they could enjoy this carnival as we did!
