University of Melbourne visited CUHK-Shenzhen
Prof. Simon Evans, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) at the University of Melbourne visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen on 10th May 2018.
Prof. Shiping Zhu, Vice President for External and Student Affairs warmly received the visitor. Two parties introduced each other’ status in quo of university development and international cooperation.
Prof. Jesús Seade, Associate Vice President for Global Affairs welcomed Prof. Evans, and a meeting was held afterwards. Prof. Changwen Chen, Dean of School of Science and Engineering, Prof. Xitao Fan, Dean of School of Humanities and Social Science, Prof. Michael Ferguson, Senior Associate Dean of School of Management and Economics, Mr. Paul Ke, Director of Academic Links and other representatives from CUHK-Shenzhen also attended the meeting. The aim of this visit is to explore possible cooperation between two universities, especially in the area of tripartite program, 3+1+N Bachelor-Master Arrangement, study abroad program and staff sharing.
Founded in 1853, the University of Melbourne is a world elite research oriented university. THE 2018 ranks the university at 32 in the world. The university also ranked as NO.1 in Australia and top 50 worldwide in the area of Biological Sciences, Business and Management, Computer Science & Information Systems, Education, Electrical Engineering, Education and Statistics & Operational Research.
