SME Students Won Global Top 6 at L'Oréal Brandstorm 2018 Challenge Global Finals

On May 18, 2018, Team Inspiration, consisting of Chen Mingjia (Class 2018), Wan Wei (Class 2018), and Zhang Jingyi (Class 2019) all form SME, made into global top 6 at L'Oréal Brandstorm Challenge 2018 Global Finals, the best score in the history of Chinese teams.

On May 18, 2018, Team Inspiration, consisting of Chen Mingjia (Class of 2018), Wan Wei (Class of 2018), and Zhang Jingyi (Class of 2019) all from SME, ranked top 6 at L'Oreal Brandstorm Challenge 2018 Global Finals, the best score in the history of Chinese teams. It was also the second time that CUHK-Shenzhen students participated in the L'Oréal Brandstorm Global Finals.

The L'Oréal Brandstorm 2018 attracted more than 8,000 teams and 34,000 contestants from 63 countries around the world, and only 50 teams entered the final. In the end, "Team Inspiration" from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Team & TANGLED from the Singapore Management University, Team L'Oréalitas from the Netherlands, Team Sterling Afrique from Ghana, Team Strom Troopers from India and Team The Vison'hair from France won the  Brandstorm 2018 global top six.

Chen Mingjia, Wan Wei, and Zhang Jingyi, three students from the School of Management and Economics, under the leadership of Prof. Stella So, won the recognition of the judges of the L'Oréal Brandstorm Global Finals with excellent performance, rigorous logic, and tacit cooperation and thus won the title of Global Top Six.

In “Team Inspiration”, Chen Mingjia and Wan Wei are the first bachelor-degree graduates of the University. They prepared for the final exams as they fought for the competition. They said: "This is the best graduation gift, for us and for the University!"

Michael Ferguson, Executive Associate Dean of the School of Management and Economics congratulated Prof. Su and the three winners after hearing the news. He fully affirmed the excellent performance of the students in the competition and looked forward to the excellent performance of SME students in the future business competitions.
