Farewell to International Exchange Students of 2018 Fall Semester
After spending a period of meaningful time at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen in the 2018 Fall Semester, 31 international exchange students from 10 overseas top universities are about to go back at the end of the semester. The Office of Academic Links (OAL) thus held a farewell party specifically for international exchange students on the evening of December 14, when Chinese and international students played games and refreshed interesting experiences in the joyful and rousing send-off.
During the event, students also got the chance to experience the Chinese calligraphy when Liu Jiannan, Chair of South-Dew Club for Calligraphy, not only introduced the characteristics of the traditional art, but also patiently guided everyone to practice it. International exchange students wrote their own calligraphy as a special souvenir to commemorate this learning experience in China. They also expressed their feelings about studying here through postcard messages. Finally, Daniel Paiva, an exchange student from the Rotterdam Business School in the Netherlands, played wonderful music as a fantastic DJ, bringing the party to its climax.
Siu-liang Hor from the University of Cologne said: "I am very delighted to come to The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and I have had a really good time. Thank you, CUHK-Shenzhen! I love you, CUHK-Shenzhen!" Yorick Houweling, an exchange student from Rotterdam Business School also highly appreciated the learning experience here and expected to come back to Shenzhen in the future.
The 2018 Fall Semester is coming to an end, but our precious friendship and memory is going to last forever.
