A Joint Research Project between SRIBD and Applied Psychology of HSS Focuses on Internet Use on Campus and Early Detection of Game Addition

The purpose of the project is to better understand the Internet use and game-play behaviors of the students at CUHK (SZ). The project will be led by Dr. Zhou Jianjun from SRIBD and Professor Wang Xiaotian from Applied Psychology of HSS.

The joint project “Early detection of psychological problems in university students” held by Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data (SRIBD) and Applied Psychology program of HSS recently received a grant from SRIBD,about CNY 500,000 annually for two years. The purpose of the project is to better understand the Internet use and game-play behaviors of the students at CUHK (SZ). The project will be led by Dr. Zhou Jianjun from SRIBD and Professor Wang Xiaotian from Applied Psychology of HSS.The project started in July 2019.

The research project aims to provide early detection of Internet game addition and promote a healthier, rational and happier campus life. The grant will also provide research and internship opportunities for the undergraduate and graduate students of CUHK (SZ).
